Welcome. You’ve made a courageous step towards self-exploration and mental healing by looking up mental health professionals. I am a licensed doctor of Clinical Psychology and have provided mental health services in Los Angeles, California for over a decade.

I deeply believe in the strength and perseverance of humans and have been drawn to the field of psychology out of a desire to empower individuals to overcome adversity. Assisting others through life challenges is a privilege that I deeply value.

From early childhood, I was exposed to different cultural influences and have immigrated twice in my life, which introduced me to the challenges and benefits of learning new languages and adapting to different cultures. I was born into a biracial home with a father who identifies as Afro-Caribbean and a mother who identified as Dutch and Caucasian. Their various experiences as a biracial couple that immigrated to Germany shaped me and instilled values of perseverance and connectedness. Such formative experiences led to the realization that we all have our unique vantage points that shape our perceptions.

I obtained an arts degree in Amsterdam and the South of Holland and had the privilege to live in cities like Berlin, Paris, New York, and eventually Los Angeles. I found that creating art did not provide answers but rather generated questions about society, identity, and expression. These questions drive me as a Clinical Psychologist and I feel motivated to understand the multifaceted complexity of an individual and the various experiences that have factored into people’s lives.
